Gregg has been involved in the architecture, development, publishing, support and maintenance of the US GAAP and other XBRL taxonomies since May 2007. He has been an integral member of the XBRL US team providing accounting and financial reporting insight, coordinating and interfacing with the Financial Accounting Standards Board, Securities and Exchange Commission, software developers, and preparers in connection with implementation of the XBRL initiative.

Gregg has developed the content for and delivered many training courses on behalf of XBRL US, including presentations to conference attendees, state boards of accountancy, small hands-on workshops, individual company in-house training, one-on-one advisory and training sessions, as well as having developed, reviewed, and consulted on substantially all modules of the XBRL US, Inc. XBRL Certification Program offered by the AICPA.

Before joining XBRL US, Gregg was an independent consultant, assisting manufacturing, private equity and venture capital, and publicly traded companies on projects such as re-engineering domestic and international operations, leading mergers and acquisitions, exploring public/private investments, and managing audit engagements and forensic exercises. He has co-led transaction advisory services and audit practices, focusing on the manufacturing industry and middle-market companies. Prior to becoming a consultant, Gregg served as a partner with KPMG specializing in transaction advisory services and as the CFO for a manufacturing company. Gregg is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Connecticut and New York state societies.
